Responsibilities
- Design, analysis, development, and testing/qualification of composite and metallic structures.
- Create and modify 3D models, detail part drawings, and interface control documents.
- Serve as the primary design engineering contact for manufacturing and production support issues.
- Implement cost and rate improvements through design updates.
- Develop engineering corrective actions to reduce non-conformances.
- Support non-conformance disposition by collaborating with other engineers.
- Work with cross-functional teams on material selection and manufacturing processes.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in engineering with 5 years of experience in aerospace structures.
- Experience in aerospace structures design, analysis, and manufacturing methods.
- Proficiency in mechanical design using CATIA V5 and Creo.
- Knowledge of systems engineering practices and quality control.
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance analysis.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with composite structure repairs and nonconforming hardware disposition.
