Responsibilities
- Serve as the responsible engineer for the development of composite structures.
- Produce, validate, and certify composite design for aerospace applications.
- Generate engineering drawings and CAD for composite structures.
- Develop configuration and design trade studies.
- Provide manufacturing support and coordinate between design and manufacturing teams.
- Implement processes to minimize production discrepancies and ensure error-free engineering.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct tests, reviewing test data.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in composite primary structure engineering.
- Experience with certification of composite parts for aerospace applications.
- Expertise in automated fiber placement, lamination, and tooling.
- Knowledge of classic laminate theory and composite fabrication methods.
- Proficiency in Creo CAD software and GD&T analysis.
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach.
