Responsibilities
- Own electrical hardware design for a significant part of a grid-tied inverter
- Conduct schematic, PCB layout, and PCB/PCBA release
- Manage manufacturing ramp
- Perform root cause analysis
- Conduct supplier visits for quality control
- Collaborate closely with firmware and control engineers
- Ensure compliance with safety and efficiency standards
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience designing grid-tied or similar power converters
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals
- Knowledge of electrical layout and magnetic design
- Understanding of EMC design principles
- Familiarity with UL 1741 and IEEE 1547 standards
- Four-year college degree in Engineering, math, physics, or similar field
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take designs from prototype to manufacturing
