Responsibilities
- Design, evaluate, procure, assemble, and test spacecraft structures and mechanisms.
- Develop requirements for spacecraft components and systems.
- Perform mechanical and thermal analysis for spacecraft systems.
- Integrate parts and systems into the spacecraft.
- Document and develop procedures to enhance the build process.
- Assist in recruiting and hiring new team members.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 1-4 years of mechanical design or equivalent experience.
- Mastery of mechanical CAD.
- Fundamentals in mechanical and thermal analysis; FEA experience preferred but not required.
- Passion for hardware development in a fast-paced environment.
- Encouragement to apply even if not meeting all criteria.
- Bonus: Experience with mechanical/thermal FEA, composite structures, vacuum environments, and electromechanical design.
