Responsibilities
- Design structural components and integrate propulsion systems for prototype aircraft.
- Design detailed metallic parts and assemblies for propulsion mounting and structural interfaces.
- Own the prototype development process including requirements, design, BOM, and testing.
- Perform structural analysis and hand calculations for component verification.
- Conduct FEA on metallic structures and mounting systems.
- Interface with suppliers for selecting COTS solutions.
- Develop verification testing strategies and oversee rigorous testing processes.
Job Requirements
- 5-15 years of engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in integrating or designing flight critical components.
- Proficient in CAD software (Solidworks, NX preferred).
- Knowledge of load analysis and FEA.
- Familiarity with aerospace hardware standards.
- Effective communication skills.
