Responsibilities
- Design structural components and integrate propulsion systems for prototype aircraft.
- Create detailed metallic parts and assemblies for propulsion mounting and system integration.
- Manage the prototype development process, including requirements, design, and testing.
- Perform structural analysis and hand calculations for component verification.
- Conduct FEA on metallic structures to validate designs.
- Interface with suppliers for COTS solutions and develop verification testing strategies.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
Job Requirements
- 5-15 years of engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficient in CAD software (Solidworks, NX preferred).
- Experience with load analysis and FEA.
- Familiarity with aerospace hardware standards and GD&T.
- Hands-on experience with carbon composite and metallic structures.
- Effective communication skills.
