Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Drive the design, development, and improvement of humanoid robots for high performance and reliability.
- Own the full product lifecycle for mechanical components, from ideation to testing.
- Oversee DfX aspects including manufacturability, assembly, cost, serviceability, supply chain, and testing.
- Perform advanced mechanical analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and alignment.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet development goals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, with 5 years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in designing legged, bipedal, or humanoid robots.
- Proven ability in advanced FEA and stress/strain analysis.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC machining, injection molding, etc.).
- Proficiency with modern CAD software (SolidWorks, PTC Creo, or Onshape).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
