Responsibilities
- Own subsystem design, including architecture and detailed design of components.
- Perform analysis using calculations and finite element analysis (FEA).
- Lead validation, testing, and root cause analysis for hardware reliability.
- Identify cost-reduction strategies in design and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and lead design reviews.
- Develop and maintain CAD standards and engineering documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and serve as a technical lead.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years of experience, or Master’s with 4+ years, or PhD.
- Experience in power generation, aerospace, or industrial hardware products.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and creating detailed drawings.
- Experience with low- to mid-volume production of machined components.
- Proficiency in structural and/or thermal analysis.
- Familiarity with systems analysis and risk management tools.
- Experience in developing engineering processes and best practices.
