Responsibilities
- Own complex mechanical subsystems for drone products from concept to full rate production
- Gather requirements and conduct trade studies for optimal solutions
- Perform hand calculations and FEA to develop and optimize designs
- Lead design reviews and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams
- Build prototypes and execute hardware test plans
- Conduct root cause investigations for hardware failures
- Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers
Job Requirements
- Experience in technical projects (collegiate or professional)
- Demonstrated project/technical leadership skills
- 2+ years of mechanical/design experience
- CAD skills and ability to produce high-quality engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
- Proficient in hands-on prototyping techniques
- BS or MS in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
