Responsibilities
- Own ruggedized hardware design from concept generation to production realization.
- Use first principles physics as a basis for every decision.
- Lead design reviews, run analysis, and define and execute hardware test plans to ensure product reliability.
- Coordinate across internal departments to build prototypes and transition successful designs to production.
- Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed.
- Travel to test sites and vendors as needed.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of mechanical/electromechanical design experience.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD and ability to apply GD&T for engineering drawings.
- Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Experience in developing ruggedized electromechanical assemblies for military applications preferred.
- Ability to integrate electronic components into mechanical designs.
