Responsibilities
- Lead FPGA architecture, standards, development, and review processes.
- Design firmware for embedded hardware, from concept to functional prototype, board bring-up, and system level integration.
- Work with modern FPGAs, SoCs, and SoMs.
- Write VHDL and C/C++.
- Troubleshoot issues spanning electrical and software boundaries using lab equipment and software debugging tools.
- Collaborate closely with hardware and software engineers for component selection, troubleshooting, and product support.
- Develop firmware across multiple products at various stages of their development cycle.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience developing HDL firmware for FPGA devices and C/C++ for embedded processors.
- Experience with configuration control systems (e.g., Git, Github).
- Experience with VHDL Simulators (e.g., QuestaSim, Vivado Simulator).
- Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Demonstrated experience designing with multi-gigabit SERDES, DDR memory busses, and communication buses like SPI and I2C.
