Responsibilities
- Perform optical and electrical tests on silicon photonic devices.
- Process data and provide insight into best performing devices for future development.
- Conduct EE, EO, OE high-speed response testing for silicon photonic devices.
- Write and modify scripts for automated experiments.
- Communicate with vendors for custom requests.
- Operate complex test setups to collect optical/electrical data.
- Debug issues in experimental setups and develop new experimental capabilities.
Job Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in engineering, physics, or a related discipline.
- 0-3 years related industry experience.
- Lab experience in optics and photonics.
- Confidence in performing tasks requiring fine motor skills.
- Knowledge of basic fiber optics and/or silicon photonics.
- Programming experience with Matlab, Python, C/C++, or other languages.
- Experience with hardware development, design, and assembly.
