Responsibilities
- Assist with the definition, design, and execution of high-fidelity mock-ups, prototypes, and test fixtures.
- Work with external vendors to source custom and off-the-shelf solutions for prototyping and testing.
- Support the growth and operation of in-house rapid prototyping capabilities.
- Develop conceptual and detailed CAD models to inform the medical device design process.
- Design and set up experiments to investigate system architecture and design paths.
- Learn about medical device design and manufacturing regulations.
- Collaborate with a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer and colleagues from various functional areas.
Job Requirements
- Achieved an equivalent of a junior undergraduate pursuit or recent receipt of an Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong academic and practical lab/project achievement in dynamics, fluidics, and electro-mechanics.
- Demonstrated hands-on prototyping and empirical evaluation skills.
- Confidence in CAD and CA Analysis skills with a desire to grow them.
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- High levels of motivation and creativity with an outgoing, positive attitude.
- Active interest in 3D printing and rapid prototyping techniques.
