Senior Firmware Engineer UEFI BIOS

The Senior Firmware Engineer at AMD is responsible for developing UEFI code, ensuring high-quality firmware delivery, and collaborating with various teams for product development and issue resolution.

• Develop UEFI code to support bug fixes, features, and customizations.
• Communicate BIOS development and debug status to internal/external partners.
• Collaborate with UEFI and silicon IP owners for problem analysis and resolution.
• Track test execution to ensure timely validation and optimization of features.
• Work with engineering teams on hardware and firmware issues during board design.
• Collect product requirements and conduct debug investigations with OEMs.
• Produce internal documentation for feature development and testing.

• Expert in C programming with strong debugging skills.
• Extensive knowledge of system architecture and validation strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Low-level hardware experience and expertise in UEFI and x86 architecture.
• Knowledge of hardware interfaces and ARM microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with software development processes and Git source version control.
