Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, verify, and validate firmware, software, and hardware.
- Participate in day-to-day firmware development work.
- Provide consultation to internal and external customers regarding AMD features and programming requirements.
- Lead day-to-day firmware development work.
- Provide guidance to ODM/OEM customers on integrating AMD processors into products.
- Analyze and debug issues found with AMD processor-enabled platforms.
- Train field sales and support staff on AMD products' features and uses.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Several years of experience in firmware development within the semiconductor industry.
- Expertise in designing and debugging firmware, Coreboot, UEFI BIOS, and Linux kernel issues.
- Experience with x86 CPU/APU architectures and associated compile tools.
- Knowledge of industry-standard I/O interfaces and networking technologies.
- Strong technical communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
