Responsibilities
- Support architectural trades with thermal analysis on spacecraft and subsystems.
- Perform analysis of Bus and Payload subsystems and components.
- Develop automated scripts for rapid analysis updates.
- Design and select heat pipes for components.
- Define and execute test setups for thermal cycling and TVAC tests.
- Conduct testing of prototypes for design feedback.
- Document design evolution and prepare materials for design reviews.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience with thermal analysis software.
- 1+ year experience with test planning and results correlation.
- 1+ year experience in thermal control hardware development.
- Experience with thermal simulation software (e.g., Thermal Desktop, Ansys).
- Advanced degree preferred (Master’s or PhD).
- CAD skills (NX or Solidworks) preferred.
