Responsibilities
- Design and improve system controls architecture, including machine control code and safety design.
- Develop controls code on Codesys platforms.
- Identify and implement system optimizations.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams for real-time implementations.
- Partner with hardware engineering on system development from prototyping to production.
- Launch, test, and debug systems in lab and field environments.
- Develop tools for system monitoring and troubleshooting.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in production motion control systems for robotics or industrial automation.
- 1+ years of experience in designing or architecting systems.
- BS/MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
- Experience with C++, CodeSys, and PLCs.
- Knowledge of IEC standards for programming controls for robotics.
- Solid debugging skills and experience with rigorous testing practices.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
