Responsibilities
- Mechanical design of propulsion subsystem and test fixtures.
- Collaborate with the propulsion team for low-mass and cost-effective designs.
- Generate detailed designs and conduct thermal modeling and structural analysis.
- Support integration of designs into propulsion performance models.
- Conduct tolerance analyses and verification of critical clearances.
- Prepare documentation for design review gates.
- Support root cause and corrective action plans for manufacturing non-conformances.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with prototyping and implementation.
- 3+ years of CAD software expertise (Siemens NX, SolidWorks, etc.).
- 1+ year experience with GD&T per ANSI Y14.5M.
- Knowledge of machining processes and design for manufacturing.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in structural or mechanical engineering preferred.
