Responsibilities
- Mechanical design of propulsion subsystem and test fixtures.
- Collaborating with the propulsion team for low-mass, low-cost designs.
- Generating detailed designs and conducting thermal modeling and structural analysis.
- Supporting integration of designs into propulsion performance models.
- Performing tolerance analyses and verification of clearances for components.
- Preparing documentation for design review gates.
- Supporting root cause and corrective action plans for manufacturing non-conformances.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with prototyping and implementation.
- CAD software expertise (Siemens NX, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Experience with GD&T per ANSI Y14.5M.
- Knowledge of tooling design and flight hardware experience.
- Familiarity with stress analysis and high volume manufacturing processes.
