Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design of robotic subsystems and van integration.
- Design and route cabling and wire harnesses for reliability and integrity.
- Contribute to thermal management strategies for hardware components.
- Integrate sensors and compute modules into functional assemblies.
- Prototype and test mechanical systems; support hands-on builds and testing.
- Conduct root cause analysis on system-level failures and implement improvements.
- Apply DFM and DFA principles for transitioning prototypes into scalable builds.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or related fields.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
- Hands-on experience with prototypes and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and exposure to volume production.
- Experience with design for compliance and environmental factors.
- Familiarity with engineering documentation and design review processes.
