Responsibilities
- Lead the design of mechanical ground support equipment for payload satellite systems.
- Develop 3D and 2D mechanical designs and conduct related analysis.
- Collaborate with multiple spacecraft design and integration teams.
- Conduct design reviews and build production fixturing and tooling.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes and apply knowledge of product design.
- Utilize engineering project management software for task management.
- Solve complex engineering problems and contribute to innovative solutions.
Job Requirements
- BS degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in NX and TeamCenter.
- Experience with prototyping, DFM, and manufacturing process development.
- Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
- Strong communication and task management skills.
- Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and aerospace systems.
