Responsibilities

  • Lead second shift assembly, integration, and test flows for space hardware builds.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize workstation layouts for Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT).
  • Define manufacturing processes and material flow for spacecraft and dispenser assembly.
  • Implement and improve assembly, integration, and test processes continuously.
  • Specify and procure assembly equipment to meet program requirements.
  • Manage compliance certification and anomaly resolution processes.
  • Assist in hiring engineers and technicians for the team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or related discipline.
  • 3+ years in a technical leadership role in facilities and operations setup.
  • 5+ years developing space mechanical assemblies or related experience.
  • Experience in developing functional specifications and test procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Operational Excellence Systems (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) is a plus.
