Responsibilities
- Plan material flow and implement manufacturing processes for satellite handling and testing operations.
- Adhere to safety requirements, standards, and procedures in all work locations.
- Final assembly and testing of Amazon Leo satellites in a clean-room environment.
- Verify satellite health using computer-controlled equipment.
- Define rigging diagrams and lift operations for commissioning lift equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for payload processing facility validation.
- Mentor new and junior team members.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or related discipline.
- 2+ years of hardware design and validation experience.
- Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma concepts.
- Experience with mechanical design, build, and test.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Passport and meet customs requirements.
- Ability to pass Kennedy Space Center background check.
