Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for production, test, and design teams for operational support during battery cell testing and manufacturing.
- Implement new tests, processes, and tools for manufacturing, shipping, and testing battery cells.
- Identify and implement improvements in quality, efficiency, and robustness of processes.
- Develop standard repairs, rework procedures, and training for new operators and technicians.
- Create reporting tools on manufacturing KPIs and lead integrated product teams.
- Conduct root cause failure analyses with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering experts.
- Manage third-party vendors for capital equipment installation and technician training.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in operations, design, or test roles in relevant industries.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams on product design from concept to production.
- Knowledge of battery cell and pack electrochemistry, manufacturing, and testing.
- Familiarity with cell abuse/characterization testing and related equipment.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for continuous improvement.
- Experience with statistical process control and quality engineering methods.
