Responsibilities
- Design high-quality, cost-effective solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems.
- Manage multiple engineering design projects involving Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Serve as the primary technical contact for suppliers during the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Ops Engineering for the installation and commissioning of designed systems.
- Work on projects that may include green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits.
- Engage with a team of engineers in a fast-paced environment.
- Utilize technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software for design projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or 5+ years of Amazon experience.
- Experience in Design/Innovation Engineering or related fields.
- Proven ownership/management of engineering design projects.
- Familiarity with automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and robotics.
- Preferred Master’s degree in Engineering or related field with relevant experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Principles and process design.
- Ability to travel 20%, including globally.
