Responsibilities
- Partner with internal and external teams to design cost-effective solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems.
- Manage multiple engineering design projects from concept to design approval.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for suppliers on projects.
- Oversee the hand-off of projects to the Ops Engineering team for installation and commissioning.
- Engage with the Ops Engineering team to ensure successful system installation and launch.
- Work on various projects including green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits.
- Collaborate with a team of skilled engineers in a fast-paced environment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or 5+ years of relevant experience at Amazon.
- Experience in Design/Innovation Engineering or related fields.
- Proven ownership of engineering design projects involving Material Handling Equipment.
- Proficiency in business/technical software such as MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD.
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- Experience with automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and robotics.
- Ability to travel 20%, including internationally.
