Responsibilities
- Design space hardware production processes and production lines
- Manage equipment design, procurement, installation, and qualification
- Collaborate with supply chain partners to manage critical vendors
- Define material flow planning and manufacturing processes
- Support space hardware testing, including tooling design and data analysis
- Optimize assembly, integration, and test takt time & cost
- Conduct design for manufacturability reviews and sign-offs
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent
- 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience with prototyping and implementation
- 3+ years of experience developing and building space mechanical assemblies
- 3+ years of implementing metric-based strategies utilizing continuous improvement concepts
- 1+ years of experience planning and driving process development campaigns
- Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools preferred
