Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering projects, including reviewing specifications and onsite implementation.
- Execute and supervise high-voltage switching plans and preventative maintenance strategies.
- Perform arc flash studies, relay coordination, and power system analysis.
- Provide technical support to field teams, including Root Cause Analysis and training on HV systems.
- Interface with Procurement and Construction teams on equipment testing and compliance.
- Monitor system trends, manage reporting, and support audits and data analysis.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and NERC compliance, serving as SME for substation maintenance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited); Master’s may substitute for experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in power plant or utility operations & maintenance.
- Familiarity with electrical theory, high-voltage switching, and protective relay systems.
- Experience with NERC compliance and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication skills for training and presenting technical information.
- Physically able to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital tools; P.E. license and Spanish fluency are a plus.
