Responsibilities
- Perform failure analysis on explanted long-term biomedical implant products.
- Apply theoretical principles and analytical techniques to identify root cause failure mechanisms.
- Meet deadlines on multiple assignments in a cross-functional team environment.
- Proactively find quality improvements related to Failure Analysis.
- Serve as a lead and mentor for less experienced personnel in solving complex problems.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Surveillance.
- Define test equipment to accomplish quality responsibilities and comply with regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required, preferably in electrical or Biomedical Engineering.
- Engineering work experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of global regulations for medical device reporting is a positive.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a busy department.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
