Responsibilities

  • Perform failure analysis on explanted long-term biomedical implant products.
  • Apply theoretical principles and analytical techniques to identify root cause failure mechanisms.
  • Meet deadlines on multiple assignments in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proactively find quality improvements related to Failure Analysis.
  • Serve as a lead and mentor for less experienced personnel in solving complex problems.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Surveillance.
  • Define test equipment to accomplish quality responsibilities and comply with regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required, preferably in electrical or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Engineering work experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of global regulations for medical device reporting is a positive.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a busy department.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
