The role is for a Manufacturing Engineer in the Box, Circuit Card, or Wire Harness Assembly / Sustainment area of Lufkin Production Operations.
Responsibilities
- Providing technical support to shop floor personnel
- Developing and managing manufacturing processes and detailed work instructions
- Analyzing and resolving hardware defects
- Implementing engineering design changes
- Training new manufacturing engineers
- Supporting area-wide process improvement initiatives
- Troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing process equipment and tooling
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance as a US Citizen
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of SAP manufacturing execution or equivalent system
- Green belt training or certification
- Experience in solving complex problems
- Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and/or J-STD-001 specification or equivalent
