Aviation Mechanical Engineer (Starshield)

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Starshield project, focusing on supporting national security efforts using SpaceX's Starlink technology.

• Own hardware from design through production and in-flight operations.
• Develop design criteria and drive system-level optimization.
• Iterate on designs, perform tolerance analysis, and drive DFM.
• Establish an efficient product lifecycle and perform testing on hardware.
• Own product delivery timeline and demonstrate extreme ownership.

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or STEM discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical design.
• Proficiency in CAD or FEA software.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work long hours and travel as necessary.
• Compliance with ITAR requirements.
