The position is for an internship at Tesla starting around January 2025, focusing on vehicle performance modeling within the Vehicle Performance Modeling team.
Responsibilities
- Create, develop, and maintain performance metrics for vehicle motion
- Develop scripts in MATLAB for analyzing low voltage power consumption
- Generate front-end python/dash module for visualization of key statistical aggregates
- Collect and analyze data to validate the modeling environment
Job Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerodynamics Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience with SolidWorks, Python, Catia, CAD/AutoCAD, Revit, or other 3D modeling software
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for modeling physical systems
- Strong passion for EV powertrain technologies
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, power delivery, energy storage, and thermo-fluids engineering
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in teams
