Mechanical Engineer - Reliability (Dragon)

The role is for a Mechanical Engineer - Reliability at SpaceX, focusing on the Build Reliability team for Dragon spacecraft.

• Partner with design and manufacturing teams to create quality plans for flight hardware
• Investigate and mitigate failures in production, test, and flight
• Develop and implement Lean test and inspection processes
• Monitor product and process success through production ramp-up
• Conduct build quality reviews and identify opportunities for risk reduction
• Contain and provide guidance on non-conforming products
• Support continuous improvement on the shop floor

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field
• 1+ years in manufacturing, quality, or design engineering
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Experience in process controls in manufacturing, test, and quality environment
• Knowledge of quality tools and Lean principles
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and offsite as needed
• Must meet ITAR requirements
