Engineering Intern - Functional Safety, Electrical Controls

Rivian is offering an internship for undergraduate or graduate students in an accredited program, focusing on the Energy domain Functional Safety (FuSa).

• Assist in electrical projects related to HV Battery Management System, Low Voltage Power Distribution System, and Charging Systems.
• Develop and execute test cases for functional safety mechanisms.
• Communicate and coordinate with energy system experts on verification and validation safety cases.
• Automate energy domain verification and validation safety test cases.
• Create, monitor, and modify energy domain safety test cases.

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Controls, Mechatronics Engineering.
• Junior or Senior standing.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to new tasks and projects.
• Problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork effectiveness.
