Mechanical Engineering Intern (Summer 2025)

Stantec Buildings is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for the summer of 2025 to work on design projects under the guidance of a Senior Engineer.

• Work closely with and assist Building Mechanical Engineers and Designers
• Interpret architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil plans
• Perform engineering calculations using HVAC design software and Excel
• Use AutoCAD and Revit to prepare HVAC and plumbing drawings and details
• Apply fundamental engineering principles to solve real-world problems
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams
• Participate in a Summer Intern Design Project with interns from other building design disciplines

• Great work ethic and strong motivation to learn
• Excellent task and time management skills
• Proficient in CADD (AutoCAD and Revit - ideal)
• Strong communication skills
• Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Must have completed at least the second year of a Bachelor's program in Mechanical Engineering
• This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of mechanical engineering within a collaborative and innovative design practice.
