R&D Engineering Intern

The Kenworth Division of PACCAR is seeking a motivated individual for their 2025 Internship Program in Renton, WA to work with the R&D Engineering team on advanced development and current projects.

• Identify and incorporate advanced vehicle technologies into PACCAR products
• Generate design drawings for prototype truck parts
• Develop functional controls for advanced vehicle systems and software features
• Create work plans for upcoming programs
• Participate in the assembly of prototype vehicles
• Respond to feedback from the R&D team

• Automotive experience/interest desired
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Self-directed with excellent analysis and engineering judgment
• Organized and disciplined with the ability to manage workload and respond to project demands
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Currently enrolled in an engineering undergraduate or graduate program
