The role at YETI is for a Design Engineer who will be a key member of the New Product Development team, responsible for bridging product ideation to production while focusing on product performance and user experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects from ideation to production
- Translate marketing requirements to technical performance requirements
- Establish product architecture and material selection
- Create proof of principle prototypes
- Own 3D and 2D CAD
- Collaborate with Industrial Design team and vendors for manufacturability and performance
- Drive design validation testing based on DFMEA
Job Requirements
- B.S. or higher in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Plastics Engineering
- At least 4 years of Design Engineering experience
- Proficient in 2D, 3D CAD software
- Experience with plastics manufacturing and multi-component assemblies
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- End-to-End product development experience
- Experience with FEA analysis and metal component fabrication
