Systems Engineering Co-op

Boston Metal is looking for a Systems Engineering Co-op to contribute to the development of high-temperature electrolysis systems for producing carbon-emissions-free molten metals and alloys.

• Assist in writing requirements and building system architecture models using Mathworks MBSE tools.
• Assist with system model analysis using MATLAB and Simulink Software.
• Assist in authoring model-based testing methods for verifying requirements using system models.
• Aid in data analysis and interpreting modeling and prototype testing results related to system and software requirements verification and validation.
• Analyze simulation and test data to enhance the fidelity of system and software architecture models.

• Senior working toward an engineering degree in Electrical, Physics, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or a similar major.
• Experience in Simulink, Stateflow, and Simscape.
• Proficiency in MATLAB object-oriented programming and system model report generation.
• Familiarity with Mathworks Model-Based Design or Systems Composer is advantageous.
• Experience in working with systems integrating physics, chemistry, and control systems is a plus.
• Must possess a 'startup attitude' and excel in small teams, being self-motivated, quick learner, passionate, agile, and adaptable.
• Ability to work in a small team environment and wear Personal Protection Equipment when necessary.
