Electrical Design Engineer

Capella Space is a leading provider of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite technology for various sectors, including defense & intelligence, disaster response, and environmental monitoring.

• Design, test, and troubleshoot prototype and flight systems at the component level.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams for spacecraft design and operations.
• Work on all phases of design, test, and production.
• Design PCBAs from requirements definition to integration into the system.
• Develop test cases, analyze performance, and automate tests.
• Work with contract manufacturers for component procurement and assembly.
• Ensure high reliability of hardware systems.

• 5+ years of experience in complex board designs and systems.
• Proficiency in hardware evaluation methodologies and test equipment.
• Experience with various communication interfaces and electronic CAD tools.
• Knowledge of PCBA fabrication and assembly processes.
• Strong design and manufacturing documentation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a collaborative environment.
• Understanding of U.S. Government space technology export regulations.
