The role involves operating manufacturing and process equipment, providing technical support, testing and building electronic/mechanical assemblies, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manufacturing equipment and conduct experiments
  • Provide technical support to engineers and scientists
  • Test, modify, repair, and build electronic/mechanical assemblies
  • Design and test prototype assemblies
  • Interpret and follow documents such as SOPs and safety rules
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
  • Interface with other departments for efficient flow of information and materials

Job Requirements

  • Enrolled in a 4-year degree program in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
  • Junior or Senior status with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Ability to work a 40-hour work week onsite
  • Strong decision-making and leadership skills
  • Experience with handling small delicate components and soldering
  • Knowledge of safe handling of chemicals
  • Proficiency in computer applications like Access, Excel, and Labview
