The role is an internship opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate student to work on facility changes, mechanical alterations, and equipment installations and repairs at a camp facility in Foster Creek, AB.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for on-site technical support.
  • Manage risks according to the Cenovus management of change (MOC) process.
  • Provide engineering expertise for facility changes and equipment installations / repairs.
  • Design piping and mechanical systems according to industry standards and codes.
  • Scope day-to-day mechanical work and support larger projects.
  • Generate mechanical engineering work packages and modify engineering drawings.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other engineering departments.

Job Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Program.
  • Available to begin work in May 2025.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel.
  • Minimum of 2 years of education in engineering.
  • Safety-sensitive role requiring PPE and passing pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment.
