The role is an internship opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate student to work on facility changes, mechanical alterations, and equipment installations and repairs at a camp facility in Foster Creek, AB.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for on-site technical support.
- Manage risks according to the Cenovus management of change (MOC) process.
- Provide engineering expertise for facility changes and equipment installations / repairs.
- Design piping and mechanical systems according to industry standards and codes.
- Scope day-to-day mechanical work and support larger projects.
- Generate mechanical engineering work packages and modify engineering drawings.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other engineering departments.
Job Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Program.
- Available to begin work in May 2025.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel.
- Minimum of 2 years of education in engineering.
- Safety-sensitive role requiring PPE and passing pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment.
