The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Undergraduate Guidance, Navigation and Controls (GNC) Intern to support analysis of guidance, navigation, and/or control systems for launch vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering analyses of launch and upper-stage vehicle guidance and navigation systems
- Conduct trajectory studies and error analyses
- Develop mathematical models and computational simulations of launch vehicles
- Support controls system performance assessment
- Prepare technical reports and briefings
Job Requirements
- Current sophomore or junior in a STEM field
- Knowledge of control systems, kinematics/dynamics, flight dynamics, etc.
- Experience with modeling and simulations
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C++, Fortran
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Demonstrated adaptability and problem-solving skills
