The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Undergraduate Structural Mechanics Intern for their Vehicle Systems Division in El Segundo, CA.
Responsibilities
- Developing, organizing, and improving software and simulation tools
- Improving tools and processes for test and flight sensor data
- Applying standard techniques and procedures for engineering tasks
- Documenting and presenting work
- Supporting growth and learning with evolving duties
- Providing and receiving training and mentorship
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Mechanical, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering
- Junior class standing preferred
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Familiarity with Python, Matlab, and Jira
- Interest in structural mechanics related to rocket and satellite structures
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
