Associate Mechanical Engineer

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work on the design, manufacturing, and testing of naval assets for the U.S. Navy's submarines and aircraft carrier Fleets.

• Design, analyze, and support primary and secondary systems for naval assets
• Develop improved manufacturing processes to reduce costs and development span times
• Conduct analysis and testing of new naval nuclear propulsion technologies

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Ability to work in a team environment with interface groups
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Experience in writing technical reports or engineering evaluations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Previous co-op or intern experience
• Strong academic performance
