Manufacturing Engineering Intern Summer 2025

Thea Energy is offering an internship program for technical interns to join their team, focusing on leveraging stellarator physics for fusion energy.

• Develop and exercise design, analysis, and hands-on skills for prototyping and stellarator design
• Support process development, fabrication, assembly, and equipment design
• Assist in the design, build, testing, and performance analysis of custom HTS magnets
• Support the development and execution of test equipment, facilities, and operations
• Design and develop various subsystems for stellarator fusion devices
• Model magnetically confined high-temperature fusion plasmas
• Optimize stellarator magnetic geometry for next-generation fusion devices

• Enrolled in a STEM undergraduate or graduate program
• Interest in clean and sustainable energy
• Hands-on or computational experience in relevant areas
• Self-motivated, independent, and problem-solving skills
• Authorized to work in the US
• Willingness to learn new things
