Magnet Engineering Intern Spring 2025

Thea Energy is offering an internship program for technical interns to work on fusion energy engineering projects related to stellarator design and development.

• Develop and exercise design, analysis, and hands-on skills
• Support prototyping and stellarator design activities
• Assist in CAD and/or FEA model development
• Deliver functional custom components, tooling, fluid systems, and test equipment
• Support process development, fabrication, assembly, and testing
• Design, build, test, and analyze custom HTS magnets
• Assist in the development and execution of test equipment and operations

• Enrolled in a STEM undergraduate or graduate program
• Interest in clean and sustainable energy
• Hands-on or computational experience
• Self-motivated and problem-solving skills
• Authorized to work in the US
• Willingness to learn new things
