The position is for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in the automotive industry, responsible for designing high-performance automotive products and systems using CAD, CFD, FEA tools.
Responsibilities
- Design automotive aftermarket high-performance components and systems
- Manage projects from concept to production
- Coordinate prototype fabrication and installation activities
- Work closely with internal teams and outside vendors
- Provide technical information and collaborate with the Engineering team
- Fabricate test apparatus and equipment, analyze test data, and write technical reports
- Perform other assigned duties
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of experience or 6+ years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, FEA, and CFD
- Problem-solving skills and advanced online research abilities
- Automotive industry knowledge and manufacturing understanding
- Hands-on automotive experience
- Prior experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience or involvement with FSAE, BAJA, or similar academic clubs is a plus
