Product Design Engineer, Reality Labs

The role is for a Product Design Engineer at Reality Labs, focusing on developing hardware systems for VR, AR, or New Technology Initiatives in the consumer electronics sector.

• Contribute to mechanical solutions in a cross-functional team
• Model, build, test, and refine prototypes
• Collaborate with the supply chain and manage work with external vendors

• Travel to external vendors up to 20%

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in Design for Manufacturability, CAD, statistical tolerance analysis, etc.
• Knowledge of material properties and high-volume manufacturing techniques
• Testing and analysis experience
• Experience with NX CAD and consumer electronics design
• This role requires a Senior level candidate with 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, focusing on consumer electronics design and manufacturing. The responsibilities include contributing to mechanical solutions, prototyping, collaborating with the supply chain, and pushing for innovative technologies.
