Mechanical Engineer

The role is for a Mechanical Engineer specializing in air handling systems, cooling infrastructure, and PLC programming for data center environments within the IREN Group.

• Design, develop, and optimize air handling and cooling systems for data centers.
• Program and optimize Schneider PLCs and other platforms for cooling infrastructure automation.
• Create detailed engineering designs and layouts for cooling systems using CAD software.
• Conduct thermal analysis, system simulations, and CFD modeling for cooling system validation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical and electrical systems.
• Provide on-site support for commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting of cooling systems.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance plans for cooling systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 0-5 years of experience in designing HVAC and cooling systems for mission-critical environments.
• Proficiency with Schneider PLCs and other platforms.
• Hands-on experience with liquid cooling systems and hot/cold water loops preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, ASHRAE standards, and cooling infrastructure for IT heat load management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in thermodynamic analysis and fluid dynamics.
• Experience with CFD simulations and working in multi-disciplinary teams preferred.
