Design for Manufacturing Engineer - PCBA (Starlink)

The role is for a Design for Manufacturing Engineer - PCBA (STARLINK) at SpaceX, focusing on improving and maintaining quality requirements for the manufacturing of Starlink satellite and gateway PCBAs.

• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Supplier Development Engineers to drive SMT process requirements
• Review PCBs to address manufacturing issues
• Identify opportunities for optimizing product output and quality enhancements
• Develop test vehicles to validate new processes
• Drive corrective actions based on manufacturing defects

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or other STEM discipline
• 1+ years of work experience in SMT processing and/or microelectronics packaging
• Experience with reliability modeling, automated PCB review software, Xpedition Design Software
• Scripting and data analysis skills
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and supplier quality processes
• Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed
