Responsibilities
- Design and develop next-generation launch vehicles, launch pads, and production lines.
- Perform hand calculations and FEA for design optimization.
- Rapidly iterate on manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure hardware integration with all Starship systems.
- Own large business outcomes and experience significant personal and professional growth.
- Witness the transition from building hardware to flying reusable rockets to orbit.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics.
- 1+ years of mechanical and/or fluids engineering experience.
- Graduating from a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program in December 2024 or May/June 2025.
- Strong ability to use data for decision-making and perform trade studies using engineering fundamentals.
- Experience in a highly technical position with tight time or budget constraints.
- Demonstrated resilience, rapid growth, and success in academics.
- Ability to work extended hours, relocate to Starbase launch site, and meet ITAR requirements.
